Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms carefully. It is a condition of placing an order with us that you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to them. If you refuse to accept these Terms, you will not be able to enter into an agreement with us.   We may revise these Terms from time to time. Every time you order any products from us, the Terms in force at that time will apply to the contract between you and us. These Terms set out the whole of our agreement and will not be varied without our written consent. Terms and Conditions (the "Conditions"), together with our Privacy Policy are the contractual agreement between the customer or visitor to our Website (indicated by references to "you" or "your"), and Thistlegrey Interiors (indicated by references to "we", "us", or "our") in relation to your use of the Thistlegrey Interiors website (the "Website") and your purchases or services from the Website.

These links are provided for your convenience to provide further information. They do not signify that we endorse the website(s). We have no responsibility for the content of the linked website(s). Placing an order:

Orders are placed over the phone or by email and the process allows you to check and amend any errors before confirming your order to us. Please take the time to read and check your order at each stage of the order process.  After you place an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order and requesting a 50% deposit. However, order acceptance and completion of the contract will only occur when we send you an e-mail that confirms the deposit has been received (Order Confirmation).  Payment of the deposit is confirmation that you accept both our terms and conditions, and the design and will be taken as authorisation to proceed.

Payment for all products and services can be made through BACS all details will be on the order acknowledgement. We do not store or process credit card details on our own system.

You will become the owners of the products you have ordered when they have been delivered to you. Once they have been delivered to you they will be held at your own risk and we will not be liable for their loss or damage.

Fabric Information:

Thistlegrey Interiors cannot accept responsibility or liability for the performance, durability or finish of fabrics which are given any sort of treatment, including laundering subsequent to purchase.

Fabrics will be affected by environmental conditions such as heat and humidity which can alter their appearance and cause shrinkage or ‘loosening’ after they are hung.  Silks, linens and plain reflective fabrics are inclined to show more creasing and markings than a more patterned fabric.  These however should lessen over time as the fabric reacts to it’s environment. If a change occurs and the blinds or curtains after fitting need any alteration due to these atmospheric conditions this cost would be incurred by the customer.

Also, fabrics with a check or a woven fabric can sometimes as a result of the weaving process can occasionally be slightly misaligned. This is not a fault but characteristic of the process itself.

Be aware that silk fabrics can fade and deteriorate in direct sunlight.  However, we offer a wide range of outdoor and fade resistant fabrics if required for a very sunny room.

For embroidered fabrics some gathering and tightening around the embroidery can occur again this is normal.

Blinds – very large blinds can occasionally ‘balloon out’ due to the weight of the fabric or if a very heavy weave has been used. This is a normal event and not a flaw in the fabric or manufacturing process.

Also if blinds are being made with a silk, flat velvet or reflective fabric the stitching may be more apparent that when a more patterned fabric is used.

Cancellations, alterations and refused deliveries:

For design service - If the contract is cancelled due to circumstances, for example delays,  outwith our control for which we cannot be held liable, the deposit would not be refundable.  

For website products - If we are unable to supply you with the product, for example because the product is not in stock or no longer available, we will inform you of this by e-mail and we will not process your order. If you have already paid for the product, we will refund you the full amount as soon as possible, if this is the fault of Thistlegrey Interiors.

Thistlegrey Interiors reserve the right to end any contract should any breach occur of any of the Conditions herein or fail to make payment when due, or should we have reasonable cause to suspect you have or are about to engage in any fraudulent or illegal activity. We will suspend or terminate access to the Website accordingly and at any time, should we consider this to be necessary, and in the best interests of the Company.

Should the you wish to return goods please contact Thistlegrey Interiors at info@thistlegreyinteriors.couk If both parties agree to cancellation or alteration, or you refuse or miss a delivery, we reserve the right to charge the greater of:

(a) All costs incurred and loss of profit.

(b) 20% of the Goods value.

(c) £25

Rugs returned in new and unused condition within 14 days of delivery will be subject to a reduced handling charge of 5% of the rug value only.

Our Samples:

Please note that Samples ordered through Thistlegrey Interiors are intended as a representation of the colour and texture of a fabric or wallpaper, and may not show the full design.

We aim to display the colours accurately, although we cannot guarantee that your computer’s display shows the true colours of our fabrics and wallpapers. The Samples sent to you may, therefore, vary slightly from the images on our website. All images on our website are for illustrative purposes only.

Every effort is made to ensure that the fabrics and wallpapers we supply correspond as closely as possible to our Samples. However, variations in colour between batches may occur from time to time during normal manufacturing processes. We cannot guarantee that any fabrics or wallpaper that we subsequently supply will match exactly the Samples sent to you.

General Points:

We reserve the right to amend these Conditions from time to time as is deemed necessary, so please do check before ordering that you are comfortable with the Conditions which apply at the time.

You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform in order to access our Website. You should use your own virus protection software. We prohibit the reproduction, modification, distribution, or incorporation into any other work of any or all of the material available on the Website.
